Last week the 14th annual psychology conference in Iceland, Sálfræðiþing 2024, commenced.
I was amazed by the amount of incredibly talented researchers presenting their work at the conference. Dr. Tómas Kristjánsson kickstarted the conference with a much needed lecture on suicide prevention open to the public and professor Rory O’Connor delivered an amazing keynote presentation on understanding suicide risk.
I was honored to have the opportunity to present some of the interesting work me and my colleagues in Stockholm, professor Per Carlbring and Oskar Gustafson, did on the effects of the war outbreak in Ukraine 2022 on emotional disorders. A preprint version of this work is available here: https://doi.org/10.23668/psycharchives.14111
I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and thankful to the organizers of the conference for their careful selection of speakers. Most of all, I am humbled by everyone whom showed interest in my work and have encouraged me to continue my pursuit of academic research!
